Mountain Man Lard Soap
Mountain Man Lard Soap
“Stand true to your calling to be a man. Real women will always be relieved and grateful when men are willing to be men.” —Elisabeth Elliott, The Mark of a Man
Our new Mountain Man soap is perfect for that rugged, bearded, flannel-wearing, wood-chopping man in your life. Each bar smells like a rustic walk in the woods, scented with organic cedarwood, clove, and vetiver essential oils, and speckled throughout with homegrown sage leaves. The sage offers detoxification of the skin and antimicrobial properties. The kaolin clay also detoxifies the skin, draws out impurities, and acts as a deodorizing agent.
Great care goes into this cold-process soap, beginning with local bacon from pasture raised pigs. We always save the grease because it’s resourceful and essentially free lard. To throw it away would be a huge waste! Instead we take the bacon grease, clarify it to remove odors and flavors, and then turn it into a creamy nourishing bar of soap…(that doesn’t smell like bacon!)
Lard is a fat from the days of old and is beneficial for skin irritations such as eczema, rashes, dried skin and more. It creates a long lasting bar with a creamy lather. It is gentle and moisturizing while cleansing at the same time.
This is soap like grandma used to make: plain and simple, no frills or cancerous chemicals. A sustainable and nourishing alternative to the many vegetable-oil laden soaps today.
Free of toxic chemicals, synthetic fragrance and dyes.
