Calico and Twine is a small home-operated family business located in the Midwest. Here we believe it’s time to get back to the roots of a simple and quiet life. We value well-made and long-lasting goods that encourage conscious consumerism rather than convenient consumerism. Built on the foundations of 1 Thessalonians 4:11 and Proverbs 31, we desire to be good stewards of what we have been given— through simple food, modest adornments, homemaking, homesteading and the like. It is in this space that we share our knowledge, our experience, and the fruit of our hands.

Here at Calico and Twine, we make and source items with a passion for the well-made and long-lasting. In our market you will find a variety of goods that are handmade here on the Calico and Twine homestead, vintage sundries, and other items sourced directly from small makers. We desire to emphasize ethics, good stewardship, resourcefulness, and working with our hands. Buying less, but choosing well, and bringing only items into our homes that are useful and beautiful allows us homemakers to find our own timeless style rather than carrying the burden of keeping up with the ever-changing trends of fashion and home.

We believe in the power of the home. It is the place we all go for comfort, warmth, and love. It is where faith and hope is nurtured. At the end of the day we should all strive to curate a house that feels like home, and a modest wardrobe that reflects our heart. Our job at Calico and Twine is to curate a selection of natural goods that align with our values of tradition and simplicity. This gives our customers the freedom to simply focus on curating their personal style and feel good while doing it.

Kaetlyn Anne is the owner and creator of Calico and Twine. Kaetlyn is passionate about encouraging others to glorify God through every area of their lives. Rooted in traditional values, seasonal living, and the quietness of heart that is found in Christ alone, Kaetlyn created this space to give you the tools and resources you need to “lead a quiet life and work with your hands” (1 Thessalonians 4:11)

AJ is a mom of three and is passionate about gardening, natural living, and living a life to the glory of God. Her days are spent caring for her children, cultivating a homestead, and creating for Calico and Twine. AJ makes all of the soaps and salves available in our market, and works together with her daughter Kaetlyn to craft various adornments like hair ribbons, kerchiefs, and more.
