Immune-Boosting Apple Cider Vinegar Elixir

This tonic is an awesome aid for all things cold and flu and everything in between. Made with powerful ingredients such as ACV, local honey, fresh lemon juice, and cinnamon, all which do wonders for the immune system and have both antibacterial and antiviral properties. It’s easy to make and actually quite yummy after you get used to it!

What You need

  • 1 tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar (raw + with the Mother)

  • 1 tablespoon of organic lemon juice (freshly squeezed, not prepackaged)

  • 1-2 tablespoons of local raw honey

  • 1 teaspoon of organic cinnamon (preferably ceylon)

  • A dash of organic cayenne pepper (optional)

  • 8-12 oz of filtered water

To make

STEP 1

Heat your water on the stovetop/in a kettle. You want it to be warm enough to enjoy, but not so hot that it will kill the nutrients of the ingredients.

STEP 2

In your favorite mug, add the apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, honey, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper.

STEP 3

Once the water is heated, pour into the mug and stir to combine. The cinnamon does tend to gather at the top of the drink so it’s helpful to have a spoon to stir it in with each sip you take.

STEP 4

Enjoy!

You can drink this as a preventative or if you are already sick, it’s beneficial to drink this concoction at least 3 times a day.
